Galvanized sheet refers to a steel sheet coated with a layer of zinc on the surface, commonly known as "white iron sheet", which has been widely used in the construction industry before it was used as a color-coated substrate. The surface state of the coating is cast, with uniform and bright spangles on the surface (the rough surface without spangles is often advocated in galvanizing for automobiles and home appliances), and there are different surface states.
 

 

 

Corrosion Resistance
Galvanizing provides cathodic protection for the substrate. If the zinc layer is scratched somewhere, the surrounding zinc will first melt and become a substitute for iron to protect the exposed steel from corrosion.

Processing Performance
Galvanized steel sheet is superior in processing performance and can fully meet the requirements of rolling, stamping forming, bending and other forms of processing.

The Type of Steel Substrate
Hot-rolled galvanized steel sheet: hot-rolled steel sheet after the substrate has been pickled.
Cold-rolled galvanized steel sheet: the substrate is cold-rolled or hardened steel sheet.

Coating Method
Hot-dip galvanized steel sheet: The coating of hot-dip galvanized steel sheet is relatively thick (about 60-600 grams per square meter), and the performance of the substrate is affected by the hot-dip galvanizing process. It is mainly used in construction, daily appliances, automobiles, etc., and can be used directly in the open air .
Electro-galvanized steel sheet: The coating of electro-galvanized steel sheet is relatively thin (about 10-160 grams per square meter), and the performance of the substrate is not affected by the electro-galvanized process. It is mainly used for automobiles, home appliances, electrical appliances, and color-coated substrates. Paint, not suitable for direct outdoor use.
