PPGI is pre-painted galvanised iron, also known as pre-coated steel, coil coated steel, color coated steel etc., typically with a hot dip zinc coated steel substrate.

PPGI is a galvanized color-coated steel material. It is a product made by chemically treating the surface of the coated steel plate (degreasing, phosphating, chromium hydrochloric acid passivation), then coating it with paint, and then baking it. It not only has the mechanical strength and easy formability of steel plate, but also has good decoration and corrosion resistance of organic materials. The coating has strong adhesion and can keep the color fresh for a long time.

Over 30 million tons of such coated steel is produced today in over 300 coating lines just in Boxing which is a little county in North of China.
